The Race Across America (RAAM) is a 3,000-mile non-stop transcontinental bike race from San Diego to Annapolis, and was described by Outside magazine as the "toughest endurance race in the world". Team "Making Cancer History" selected RAAM because it has both symbolic and practical significance to raising funds for cancer research. Symbolically, this challenging endurance event demonstrates that team work, research, persistence, and ingenuity can triumph over obstacles such as NF and other debilitating cancers.
Together with the University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center, Cheniere's "Making Cancer History" Team is creating an annual campaign that coordinates multiple
fund-raising events in support of cancer research, treatment, and education at M. D. Anderson's Children's Cancer Center.
Cheniere's Making Cancer History team is very excited to have Emily Parker as our 2008 Pedal Partner. Emily is very special 12 year-old with an infectious smile and adorable personality.
